“Mountains TAXI” is the ONLY State-Authorized taxi service based "up the hill", in the "Colorado Front Range", or "Rocky Mountain Foothills" area, which lies west of Denver and its C-470 Beltway. "Mountains TAXI" fills many public needs, by providing complete taxi services, such as: - Local and Regional, curb to curb service, normally responding within 30 minutes, until 2 AM. - Regional Service to Denver International Airport (DIA), - Free Local Information, Free Guidance, & Free Listening, without unrequested advice. - Snow EmergencyTransportation, when 4 wheel drive is needed for safety and reliability. - To / from work or school when one missed the bus, etc.. - To / from vehicle repair shops, and other merchants and facilities. - Deliveries from local pharmacies, liquor stores, and other merchants. - “Hot Shot” materials or tools to contractors on their job sites, or documents to / from professional offices. - Retrieving “lost souls” who are stranded. - Other taxi services, which mountain area residents and visitors may reasonably request.
Providing the only Local Taxi Service within this ~ 400 square mile area of mountain communities, "Mountains TAXI" also offers the only Regional Taxi Service from its "mountain home" Base Area to Denver International Airport, downtown Denver, and all other points in Colorado. (Blackhawk and Central City gaming towns, Echo Mountain, Loveland Pass, and all other Ski Areas, etc.)
The fine "city taxis", based "down the hill" in Denver, use mostly mini-vans and cars (like Crown Victorias and some efficient hybrids). "Mountains TAXI" uses only Deluxe, 4 wheel drive, full sized, American SUV's (like leather interior Dodge Durangos, with 3 row / 8 passenger seating), to provide safe and reliable, mountain area service, year-round; even on icy, twisting, mountain roads.
Our Drivers are courteous, local, mountain people, experienced in safe mountain driving, who know the mountain area, and who also pass legally required background checks. They are happy to help you with local, mountain area information and guidance. They will listen well, and/or play music of your choice, if you wish.
